Using electronic methods to improve audit and storage performance related to pra model documentation at stpnoc

A new method using CD-ROM technology for storing documentation and enhancing audit performance associated with regularly scheduled updates to the STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) is presented. Solutions to compliance issues with storage requirements are described. Custom software, stored witht he documentation, designed to improve audit efficiency and document navigation is described. STP Nuclear Operating Company records management costs using the new method are compared to traditional records mangement costs. The electronic method is shown to be more efficient and costeffective than traditional methods for model reproduction, audit, and model update activities.
