The european pressurized water reactor: epr main features of the epr layout and civil structures

The EPR is the next generation of pressurized water reactors developed at the European level by the French and German Industry (EDF, German Utilities, NPI, FRAMATOME, SIEMENS). The new design in based on harmonized rules intended to be an unique European reference. In particular, harmonized codes called ETC's (EPR Technical Codes) were developed and complemented by common engineering practices (layout requirements).
