The Study and Implementation of Architecture-dependent Optimization in GCC

摘要

Because of lack of architecture-dependent optimization in GCC, the optimization method that directly analyzes assembly code that is generated by GCC is adopted in this paper. At first, the structure of GCC and Intel Pentium processor is introduced. Then utilization of Pentium's attributes in GCC is discussed by a case studying. At last a support tool of architecture-dependent optimization for Pentium processor in GCC, postpass optimizer, is described.
