摘要

This paper presents a new modular design approach for multiple-phase one-stage power converters without a DC link. Integrated bi-directional power modules rated 1200V have been developed for medium-high power applications. Novel power circuit design reduces critical parasitic inductance, minimize the power connection terminals, and simplify AC bus structure and wiring. Theoretical analysis of the silicon utilization for energy conversion of this breed of IGBT converter is attempted. The converter system controlled by a DSP achieves high voltage throughput of 460V output with a 480V utility input. The power converter is very compact and eliminates electrolytic power capacitors.
