The Royal Society published a paper near the turn of the century concerning the reports frm the cannons fired in London at the funeral of Queen Victoria. Early computers were used by the U.S. Army at Aberdeen in maryland in the 1950's to model airblast problems during munitions demolition. Today's blaster has to have assess to weather information beyond a simple local forecast.
