The magnetic field in a DC permeanent magnet coreless disc Machine is studied by using two methods, three dimensional finite element method(3-DFEM) and two dimensional finite element method (2-DFEM) for optimization, the magnet material used is rar-earth magnet(Nd-Fe-B). The numerical results are shown that the field is provided by (Nd-Fe-B) magnet, ratio of height of the magnet(magnet thickness) to the airgap length is greater than 3, and the distance from magnet to the stator wiall is over tahn 7 m The optimum design dimensional obtained airgap length euqal 4mm.Inner redius of the magnet equal 22.5mm, Outer radius of the magnet equal 39 mm, Pole arc/pole pitc ratio equal 0.75, Number of poles 6, Oouter diameter of the motor is 103mm, Height of the magnet equal 12 mm, and the useful flux per pole is (2.1493E-4)Wb.
