Scattering Characteristic Analysis for Absorbers Used in a Large Full Chamber with FDTD and UTD Methods

In this paper, the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used in the scattering characteristic analysis of absorbers. The absorbers are lined on the six walls of a full anechoic chamber. The relative permittivities of the absorber materials vary in the range. The large absorber-lined chamber has 36mx26mxl7m dimensions. Using different types of antenna sources, the scattering field results have been researched for the different lengths of absorbers. The frequency range evaluated is from 50MHz up to l0GHz. Same formulas of the Uniform Geometrical Theory of Diffraction(UTD) are used for the scattering analysis of absorbers. The results of the analysis should be of advantage to the design of the large chamber.
