The growler radar detection method in sea clutter with the use of difference of widths of power spectra of signals scattered by growler and sea is analyzed. The radar characteristic features of the objects and the sea surface are considered and generalized. The results of detection characteristic derivation are presented. The influence of growler shadowing by the sea surface on growler detection efficiency is shown.
