This paper studies the deterioration of ecological environment of coastline in Hainan Island. The method is integration of Landsat images analysis and ground surveying. It has finished the investigation of deterioration of ecological environment for 13 counties along the coast of Hainan Island; its width is 10 to 20 kilometers. The deterioration includes transgression and shoreline recession, ecological system of forest-shelter belt being ruined, decreasing in area for red-forest, part of coast being deserted, the sources of silt in coastline decreasing sharply, the coastline being polluted, the ground in the big cities along coast being subsiding and so on. Through the investigation, It can find the variation: the natural ecological environment is deteriorated and the disaster is being intensified. It's endangered the construction of local economy and the people's life. The government should pay more attention to these.
