摘要

After initial experience gained in the 90's in improvement of policy, law and technology, the renewable energy sector in Poland has a great chance of further growth. The advancing process of integration with the European Union, growing ecological awareness as well as structural transformations in Polish agriculture and in rural areas are important driving forces in the development of renewable energy in Poland. This article recapitulates experience gained so far and presents the possibilities of development but also highlights strong barriers and the need for the Polish Government to provide a system support for the sector. Conscious policy of financing institutions and a national strategy of utilisation of RES pursued in a consistent manner and incorporated into the framework of consistent ecological, energy and agricultural policies are the key factors in this respect.
