Numerical Simulations of Grate Firing of Coal

摘要

A model for the transfer of mass and heat between the bed the gas phase above it has been developed for grate fired furnaces. The model has been applied to three-dimensional flow simulations of the Vanaja power plant located in Finland and having the fuel power of 6- MW. In the test simulation, coal was used as a fuel but the model is also intended to be used for peat, wool and refuse derived type fuels.
