NOx Reduction in Recovery Boilers by Optimized Furnace Conditions-Field Studyes

The nitrogen oxide content in recovery boilers is generally low compared with other sources, powr boilers or traffic, for instance. However, the recovery boiler flue gas amounts are large; therefore it is improtant to minimize NOx emissions from this source as well in order to reduce the general acidification of the environment.
