Boilers With A Vortex Furnace. Research and Perspectives

In is shown that the usage of the boilers with a vortex furnace is one of the most perspective wasy of improving efficiency and 'ecological safety" for low-grade fuels combustion on power plants. Vortex furnace constructed by Golovanov N.V. (CBTI, Sankt-Petersburg, Russia) was chosen for detaliled analysis of the technological prraemters. Following strengths of the vortex furnaces were confirmed by the researches: efficiency of combustion and low level of nitrogen oxides emissions for various fules, compact configuration, improved aerodynamic characteristics of the flow in the furnace and maneuverability of it.
