摘要

Poly(trimethylene terephthalate)(PTT) is a crystalline polymer, generally prepared by polycondensation of terephthalic acid(TPA) (or dimethyl terephthalate(DMT)) and 1,3-propanediol. PTT has a high tenacity as well as highly elastic property due to its characteristic features in chain conformation. In addition, it shows glass transition behavior in the range of 37~42°C but the equilibrium melting temperature around 237°C. In this study, the physical properties of PTT and its blend with poly(butylene terephthalate)(PBT) were investigated. In addition, the effect of transesterification of PTT/PBT blends was assessed by changing the melt blending conditions at a given polymer composition.
