Localized heating by the coaxial-dipole antenna for microwave coagulation therapy

In recent years, various types of applications of electromagnetic techniques to microwave thermal therapy have been develoepd (1), (2). The authors have been studying the thin coaxial antennas for the minimally invasive microwave thermal therapy, particularly, interstitial microwave hyperthermia (3) and microwave coagulation therapy (MCT)(4). In this study, we have investigated the antennas for the MCT.
