An algorithm for measurement of the ocean wind vector by a spaceborne scaterometer

The principle of measurement of the wind vector over the ocean surface using a spaceborne multibeam scatterometer is considered. Possibility of narrowing the ranges of possible wind speeds and directions to find a unique solution is discussed. An algorithm for recovering the wind speed and direction is proposed.
