Thln-walled tube bending has found many of the appllcations in the aubomoblle and aerospace industrles. This paper presents an energy approach to provide the minimum bending radius, which does not yield wrinkling in the bending process, as a function of tube and tooling geomtery and material propertles, A doubly-curved sheet model s established following the deformation theory. This approach provldes a prediotive tool in designing/optimizing the tooling parameters in the tube bending.
