Optical correlation for machine vision

摘要

We present approaches for visible and infrared video image sequence registration, useful for image fusion, target detection and recognition. For the visible and mid-infrared images of well-spearated spectral bands the challenge in image registration is the feature inconsistency and low contract and noise in the infrared image background. Possibility of integrating the optical correlator into the operational systems is discussed.
