Key issues in the reliability assessment of jack-up units

摘要

The present paper covers recent developments on the application of reliability theory to offshore structural and foundation systems and their potential impact on the standards for assessment of jack-ups. Lessons learned in past comparisons of jacket and jack-up reliability are summarized in view of the current effort in developing an ISO standard for jack-up assessment.
