Evaluation of stresses

摘要

The papers in this section discuss fatigue and evaluation of stresses of stresses in various components. In the paper by Jaske, the concept of a fatigue strength reduction factor is defined and discussed and related to stress concentration factors and stress indices. Typical fatigue data for weldments are presented and compared to ASME fatigue curves. A generic procedure for deter-mining fatigue strength reducton factors is proposed.
