Metal hydrides can be utilized advantageously as working materials in a number of devices which can contribute significantly to an environmentally clean technology. Among others, there are CDMHHP (Compressor-Driven Metal Hydride Heat Pump) which is expected to generate higher cooling power than conventional MHHP. This paper gives a detailed description of a CDMHHP development for air conditioner.
