We have been experimentally studied a system to separate hydrogen isotopes using four columns packed with Pd particles. The present system is operated in such a way that Pd particles and hydrogen isotopes gas mixture flow simulated-counter-currently. Deuterium is concentrated at the top end of the column at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The maximum deuterium concentration is almost independent of the column temperature and the feed gas flow rate. The deuterium concentration increases with an increase in the number of passed columns. When a 1 % . D_2-H_2 mixture was passed through sixteen columns, the maximum deuterium concentration was 72%. The recovery ratio was 45% in the present system.
