Experiments and numerical simulations on multiphase flow in pipeline

摘要

In this paper, a series of experiments, including two-phase water-gas, oil-gas, and three-phase oil-water-gas flows in horizontal pipelines were carried out, in order to set up a database library of multiphase flow and to compare with each other. The flow patterns were observed and analyzed, the pressure drops were measured. Besides, a numerical methodology has been developed to simulate the two- phase gas-liquid flow based on the two-fluid model.
