The hybrid process of distillation side-connected with pervaporation for the separation of etherified C_4 product was simulated with the HYSIM modeling system. In the hybrid process the pervaporation unit is used to remove a definite quantity of methanol, and get the composition of retentate over the azeotrope of C_4 and methanol mixture. This kind of retentate is recycled back to the up-section of distillation tower. When a definite quantity of methanol, which is equal to that in feed of distillation, is removed off by pervaporation process, and at the meantime the reflux ratio exceed critical value. The qualified top product with methanol mole fraction less than 1x10~-4 can be obtained. In the simulation, both plug-flow and completely-mixed operation in the pervaporationprocess were sconsidered respectively.
