The hydrodynamics and mass transfer characteristics of Pulsed Packed extraction Column (PPEC) filled with different packing have been studied. It was found that packing has great influence on characteristics of PPEC. Comparison among different packing showed that SMR has superior characeristics both in terms of capacity and mass transfer efficiency. Empirical equations of U_0 and H_oxp were proposed.
