This poster illustrated the flexibility of unique high resolution detectors in hand-held battery operated fieldportable XRF (FPXRF) analysers. The uses discussed were scrap sorting for reprocessing, positive materialidentification, lead in paint, identification of metals in contaminated land and brownfield sites for remedialpurposes and the determination of levels of metals in industrial hygiene applications.
