Two-Phase Anaerobic Digestion of the High Strength Organic Wastes with a Container Biogas Plant

According to the results obtained, it can be concluded that the two-phase system to treat high concentration and easily degradable solid organic wastes is highly effective for VS removal rate and bio-energy recovery. This two-phase system is high stable and able to withstand high peak loading. Moreover, two-phase operation permits high conversion efficiencies (more than 85% of volatile matter was converted to methane in this process) and the high methane yields with 0,5 m~3CH_4/KgVS can be achieved. Therefore, this ECB two-phase anaerobic treatment process has found out a good and high efficient way to treat easily degradable organic wastes.
