INVESTIGATION OF OPTICAL TEXTURES OF PITCH COKES FROM AVGAMASYA ASPHALTITE AND GOYNUK OIL SHALE

摘要

The changes in size, and chemical structure of pitch components produced by air-blowing, nitrogen-blowing, vacuum-distillation, and vacuum-distillation followed by hexane extraction affect the development of mesophase formation during carbonisation step. The cokes obtained by the carbonisation of pitches produced by several methods have given different optical textures from flow-domains to isotropic structure through coarse-grained mosaics.
