Fast Fourier Transform Analysis of Melt Fractured Extrudate

We have presented a simple technique which, at first pass, seems to quantify melt fracture in a more quantitative way then previous efforts, at least on the helical fracture studied. Pitch of helical extrudate is easily quantifiable. Additional efforts need to be made to quantify the amplitude of the fractured melt to the FFT signal and in interpreting the FFT power spectrum signature and quantify amplitude.
