Produced by using advanced knowledge of metallocene catalysts, QUESTRA crystalline polymers, a new engineering thermoplastic from The Dow Chemical Company has demonstrated application and economic advantage in both moderate and high heat applications. The success of this polymer family exhibits Dow's capability to further expand its current position in the automotive market by diversifying and expanding present product lines, including QUESTRA crystalline polymers, by simultaneously combining materials science, design engineering, processing knowledge and application expertise. Available in both ignition resistant and non-ignition resistant grades, QUESTRA crystalline polymers are being used in applications like electronic connectors and power distribution components because they offer excellent flow, no water absorption, low specific gravity, outstanding electrical properties, and low overall component cost. Testing and application success have proven that QUESTRA crystalline polymers meet both USCAR testing standards and capabilities needed for the electrical and automotive markets.
