Full-scale testign of twin cable-stayed bridges to compare structural behaviour

摘要

This paper presents the results of full-scale dynamic tests conducted on two calbe-stayed bridges during February 1998 to determine the dynamic behaviour f the structures. The two bridges are in principle perfectly equal and are part of the road system carrying the traffic to the air terminal of the Malpensa 2000 (Milan) airport from the neighbouring highways. The bridges were chosen for testing because of the curved layout of the deck.
