Achieving Performance Enhancement Where it Counts; Managements Strategies for Exploting Best Human Factors Practices in Design and Operations Offshore

摘要

This paper describes strategies for improving the effectiveness of the application of Human Factors Engineering in the design and operation of offshore structures, which have been utilised by the author while working as a Human Factors consultant on a number of European based projects, including the detailed design of 2 offshore installations, and the design and operational phase of a drilling project. The main drivers in the projects were HS&F and lifecycle cost reduction.
