Economic benefits of compact subsea separation system

摘要

This paper describes a concept to use a modularized, compact two-phase separator incorporated into the subsea production system to separate the produced well streams into gas and liquid phases. The system features modularity, flexibility, redundancy and high reliability. Results of applying this concept to an example deepwater field will be presented. In this example, system-level flow assurance and economic analyses have been performed. The economic benefitis have been estimated based on reduction in well count and the associated installed subsea equipment, acceleration in production rate and simplified flowline design.
