Large scale production of transpoarent anti-scratch coatings on plastic optical components by Plasma Enhanced-Chemical Vapor Deposition (PE-CVD) has long been hindered by economical and technical reasons, such as: Long rocess duration and high costs respect to the traditional way of hardening with lacquers.
