Utilization of the taguchi method for improving the ductility of stainless steel cold heading wires

The ductility of the material is a key factor for the production of fasteners by cold heading primarily when the percentage of upsetting is high. This implies studying the influence of several parameters of the stainless steel drawing process. In order to reduce the number of experiments, the Taguchi method was used, making it possible to drastically reduce the percentage of rejected parts over a short period of time.
