DIRECT SINGLE TO TWO/THREE PHASE POWER ELECTRONIC CONVERSION FOR AC TRACTION APPLICATIONS

摘要

The paper deals with the selection of single- to three-phase system of power electronic conversion. The conversion is investigated through the middle frequency transformer and using of matrix converters. Nowadays, it's important to provide unification. The proposed drive in comparison with currently used conventional drives reduces the number of power switching elements of the converter, which increases drives dependability and brings lower investment in power electronics used in drive, which offers a solution also for single phase electric traction applications.
