RISK MAPS FOR ASSET MANAGEMENT DECISIONS IN POWER SYSTEMS

摘要

Asset management of electrical power systems is mainly a decision making task. Decisions about when and how to maintain the existing equipment or about when to retire and replace it are on the daily agenda of an asset manager. For such desicions not only sufficient background information is necessary, furthermore an appropriate visualization method of this information is called for. This paper presents risk maps as a graphical approach which can help illustrate the multicriterial information emerging in the field of asset management decisions.
