摘要

Several cases of rotor blades in-service fatigue failures have been studied in scanning electron microscope. Micro-and macro-beach-marks formed on the fracture surface were used to estimate fatigue crack growth in a number of aircraft flights. Variations in crack growth period are being discussed applicably to engines compressor blades made from Ti- and Fe-based alloys.
