1. TiC particulate reinforced Ti-6Al-4V composite has slightly better strength and creep properties than the Ti-6Al-4V matrix 2. The improvement is due to the finer α/β colony and lath morphology in the composite 3. Two different deformation mechanisms are identified in the composite: dislocation climb / glide at low stresses and twinnig at high stress.
