Allied Signal Aerospace (Allied) became concerned with microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) in therir fire protection systems when it was found to have created a pinhole leak in the wet sprinkler system over a computer room, causing significant damage. Building 202 was on e of the buildings Allied Identified within their Phoenix, Arizona, location in which they could least afford pinhole leaks.
