First and foremost, any efforst to reduce greenhouse gas emissions must be based on sound science, Despite years of debate, scientists have not reached consensus on the effects, if any, that increased emissinos of so-called greenhouse gases will have on global climate change. In light of these uncertainties, prudence demands that, at a minimum, the science be reviewed periodically by all stakeholers, including those from the forest products industry.
