The electrical resistivity and the mechanical properties of static dissipative injection moldable thermoplastic composites loaded with carbon black and glass fibers were studied as a function of carbon black grade and concentration. The results were compared to typical carbon black filled materials. Injection moldable composites with required resistivities in the static dissipative range (10~6 - 10~9 ohms/sq) and with tailor made mechanical properties can be prepared based on combining a number of polymeric materials with glass fibers and about 1 wt% carbon black.
