The paper discusses the current status of the Nigeria LNG project. It highlights the main challenges of the project and focuses in particular on those aspects which are specific for the local environment, and make the project unique. These specific aspects are: - Productivity and Infrastructure; - Local Content; - Nigerianisation and Skills Development; - Community Relations; - Environmental Impact; - Ethics.
