摘要

A conceptual design of a high voltage superconducting DC homopolar machine with a rating of 500MW is presented. It can be applied directly as a DC generator at a power station for a DC transmission system. The machine has many rotating discs connected in series in a strong magnetic field generated by a superconducting magnet. Its efficiency is about 99.6 - 99.7 percent.
