Installation and Final Commissioning of the KLOE Solenoid for the DA PHI NE Ring at INFN Frascati

Oxford Instruments took over the manufacture of the 5.8 m outer diameter 4.4 m long 0.6 T Solenoid for the KLOE detector on the DA PHI NE ring when the Austrian company ELIN closed its magnet manufacturing plant. The paper summarises the magnet design before describing the installation and commissioning of the system in the assembly hall in Frascati. The results of the commissioning tests in Frascati will be presented along with the completion schedule for the KLOE experiment.
