It is intended in this study to develop a more accurate yet simple nonlinear turbulent heat transfer model with clear physical insight into the phenomenon, and to provide a foundation for future study. Based on a previously proposed nonlinear turbulence model, a preliminary study was reported recently by the present authors for a heat transfer case. the present investigation extends our previous work by including more calculations and comparisons for a wider range of Reynolds number. Coupling with a bounded higher-order numerical sheme, the proposed model yields more accurate predictions for the turbulent recirculating flows and heat transfer.
