A major obstacle and sometimes the biggest obstacle facing the resolution of environmental and waste management problems can be attributed to the "failure to communicate" with key players including the public. Now it is fairly easy to assign the cause of the failure to the unenlightened masses or as a former boss of mine said:" Failure to communicate, like hell, I told the bastards and they did not listen!" But it can also be said that there are seven deadly risk communication/risk management sins committed by the owners of the problems that contribute much to this failure.
