摘要

This paper firstly describes the spatial trajectory of a deviated well using three-parameter equation, then introdues a new approach to calculate the borehole curvature and torsion based on differential geometry. Finally, the approximation of Lubinski formula is demonstrated. Conclusiosn from this article can be valuable in guiding the in-situ drilling operation.
