摘要

Thermal grafting of the AP to the surface of an industrial PP substrate has been successfully demonstrated by a marker signal of the AP in XPS and TOF-SIMS spectra. After hydrophilic modification of the AP, successful adhesion of a basecoat-clearcoat-hardener system to the AP-grafted PP substrate was achieved, when the AP was cured using UV activation. Adhesion of the applied coatings to the thermally grafted PP surface was not successful. The reason for this is not yet understood.
