摘要

A study was made to create a pollution prevention model in the formulation pharameceutical industry. Liquid, solid and gas wastes are produced during any manaufacturing process. In addition to environmental problems, waste represents valuable material and process energy losses, as well as the pollution control investiment. Waste minimization techniques consider source reduction and recycle to reduce waste volume and toxidity. This technique was successfully applied using souce reduction, recycle and physcial treatments. Other company objectives were found with this stategy such as quality assurace, product yield increasesa ns savings.
